IXL math is a website for math practice. It breaks down each standard and skill. It will show what students are doing correctly and what they are missing as well as how to correct it. Most students should have a username and password to access this site. Skills to key in on decimals, dividing fractions, integers, absolute value, opposites, expressions, equations, volume, area, perimeter, rates, ratios, percent, and coordinate plane.
Prodigy math game is a motivating website where students learn but can have fun as well. It is self-pacing math practice in a game format.
Learn zillion math provides students with video based lessons, practice and quizzes on math standards. Students will need to sign up in order to use this site.
Students can access videos from math tutors and other educational outlets to help them understand the concepts they are learning. Search by subject, standard, keyword, and other topics to see videos and take virtual field trips. Students will access the site then click login. Scroll down and click sign in with Google. Put in your Google account information and you're in!
Engage NY will provide your child with the New York State standards in math and lessons on each standard. Click on New York State P-12 Learning Standards. Once you download the PDF go to grade 6 and the module and standard you want to practice. This is not an interactive site.
