The Quest

In the future the climate changed dramatically, earth became overpopulated, and humanity became so dependent on technology that it could not exist without it. Eventually advanced “A.I.” took over and enslaved most of the human race.

The reasoning for this is still unknown and there is no knowledge as to how long human enslavement took place prior to a human uprising. The details of this uprising are largely unknown. What we do know is that humanity has been freed and five factions, or tribes, have emerged and are currently vying for power.

The year is unknown and all of human history has been erased---there are no records or artifacts available for study. The computers destroyed everything and no one knows what led to their dominance.

Each faction/tribe is sending a group of explorers back in time through a time portal. Each group is trying to piece together history and understand the issues that could have led to the computers domination----with the hope that they can win control of the future.

The time portal has landed them in a place unbeknownst to them…. they see a calendar that tells them the date is September 11th 2019 and the time portal conductor, whom they call “A”, told them the portal would open again in 267 days.

They will study the Human Story and Enduring Issues to this point in history, making Reports to A along the way… with the goal of future global domination.
