At North Star Academy, our academic program keeps in line with our mission: providing students with a first-rate college preparatory education and an holistically positive and enriching overall school experience.
All of this connects to three key factors: what we teach, how we teach it, and who our teachers are.
WHAT WE TEACH:
Grades 7 students will have the traditional core subjects of Math, Science, Social Studies, and English Language Arts daily.
Students will also have Special Subjects once or twice per week including: Spanish Language and Culture,
Arts Lab, and P.E.

HOW WE TEACH:
We believe in teaching the "whole child." Our low student/teacher ratio lets us get to know your student: their strengths and challenges, their interests and goals, and the ways in which they best learn. Knowing your child will let us tailor their education to best address their needs.
NORTH STAR TEACHERS :
Our staff is comprised of experienced professsionals with a deep committment to helping your child learn as a student and thrive as a person. We believe in equipping our students to visualize and pursue concrete goals and become agents in their own progress.
We will always endeavor to have solid and honest communication with parents/guardians.
And we are committed to being lifelong learners ourselves, always working to advance our skills.
A Note About Special Education:
We believe every student deserves a school that meets their needs. Out of fairness to applicants and families, we cannot enroll students whose needs, academic or otherwise, we cannot meet. It is very important that prospective parents recognize North Star Academy is unable to offer academic or social-emotional special education services.
