Suggested Schedule
Below you will find a suggested schedule for structuring your student’s Remote Learning at home.
The recommendation is that each student spend 2-3 hours a day on school work. It is also recommended that each student have 30 minutes of physical activity each day, and that any student enrolled in Band be practicing their instrument daily.
Helpful Tips & Reminders:
All specific learning activities will be posted on your child’s Google Classroom for that subject area, including Special Areas
It is often helpful for a student to start with their hardest subject first. Thus, you may want to rearrange the actual subject matter, but keep the time frame.
You know your child well, so you may need to build breaks into their day. Remember, this is a suggestion off which to build. You are encouraged to think creatively and make adjustments to best suit your child!
Engaging with Remote Learning will not be the same as learning in a classroom. Students can do work outside, or in a fort, or on the couch! The goal is for students to be engaged and learning, not to feel stressed or overwhelmed.
Tutorial Time- When at school, students use tutorial time in different ways. Here are some things your student may complete when they are working on “tutorial” time in their daily schedule.
Complete work from another teacher (Ms. Thulin, Mrs. L’Abbe, Mrs. DaSilvaneto)
Email/check in with a teacher for help or with questions
Finish up unfinished work from a class
Read
Complete one of the additional activities listed on the math Google Classroom
Get a head start on the activities for the following day
