Biggest Surprises

This season has been a tough one, so many teams fighting for spots in the play-in and teams who looked to be out of the playoffs earlier in the season being able to make it into the bracket. Our First big surprise is the New York Knicks, for the first time since 2012-2013, the knicks have clinched a spot in the playoffs. In my opinion, being a Derrick Rose fan I was rooting for them all the way so i'm really excited to see how he performs in the playoffs along with randle. Them cliching a 4th seed was very unexpected though as I thought they'd make it around 6-8 seed. Also the wizards making it back into the top 8 of the east, tied with indiana , they need to close the season out strong if they truly want to make the playoffs. The Utah Jazz, not one of the most talked baout teams but this season they have clinched the #1 seed in the west and the best record in the league as well and I think we shouldn't underestimate them going into this years post-season. Donavan Mitchell one of my favorite young players is playing great and rudy gobert doing his thing on the defensive end as always, lastly jordan clarkson having a breakout year averaging 18 ppg, 4reb, and 2.5ast, I wouldn't be too surprised if they made the conference finals this year or even the finals.

MVP Race

Nikola Jokic

26.8ppg 11rpg 8.5apg 1.6spg

Remaining #1 in the MVP race for multiple weeks now, Jokic no doubt deserves the praise as this season he has truly led the nuggets to becoming a contender sitting at the 3rd seed improving from being 5th earlier this season.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

28.1ppg 11rpg 5.9apg

The bucks currently ranked #3 in the east giannis no doubt makes a case for MVP but it'll all come down to the race and he is currently second to only Nikola Jokic.

Joel Embiid

24.8ppg 11.3rpg 3.1apg

#1 In the Eastern Conference, Embiid has proven to be one of the leagues top centers and continues to improve as each season goes by , the 76ers are no joke and not a team you would want to meet in the first round. Although embiid has being playing great he is still in 3rd place behind giannis and jokic.

Rookie Of The Year Race

LaMelo Ball

16.0ppg 5.8rpg 6.2apg

LaMelo regaining the number one spot after falling out due to his wrist injury. his return is no less than expected but his injury did seem to give him trouble as he was seen holding his wrist against denver, hopefully he can return to full health soon but LaMelo is leading the race thus far.

Anthony Edwards

18.9ppg 4.8rpg 2.9apg

Anthony Edwards, his numbers continuing to grow as the games go by. His talent is definitely noticed in the league and he's going to be one of the top guys one day but he remains in the #2 spot behind LaMelo ball most likely due to the Wolves negative record.

Jae' Sean Tate

11.2ppg 5.4rpg 2.5apg

A new face in the rookie ladder Tate has been putting up decent numbers for a rookie and has an impact on the rockets games as he ranks 3rd in points, and 2nd in rebounds and assists. His level of play may continue to improve but if it doesn't he won't be able to move up in the race as Melo and Edwards are far ahead.
