Every semester, you can sign up to participate in the Cougar Reading Challenge! You can set your own goal for how many books you would like to read- if it's the two books you will read in English class, great! If you want to read 80 books, shoot for the moon!
You get a small prize for signing up, then can enter your name for raffle entries with each book you complete.
Squish Cube (four colors available)
Box set of Jenny Han's The Summer I Turned Pretty series
Portable charger
DIY Mini Book Nook
LEGO Botanicals
Kalimba
Sign up with Mrs. Barnard in the library. You will fill out a slip with your name & your goal for the semester.
When you finish a book, you can fill out a slip with the title of the book, your name, and what you thought about it. Fold up the slip and place it in a jar of your choice for a raffle entry.
On May 8th, Mrs. Barnard will pull winning names and reach out to you if you won!
Nope! You can count books from anywhere. You may also include audiobooks if you prefer to listen to your stories.
Books should be at a high school level. If you read a picture book to your younger sibling, that's great! Please don't submit entries for it. You should still do it anyways, though!
If you are a manga reader, check with Mrs. Barnard. It's cool if you want to read all 73 volumes of Naruto, but because manga can be read more quickly, we will work out an arrangement for an appropriate number of raffle entries.
You can count books that you finished on or after December 12th, 2025, since that was when our last challenge ended!
I would love to hear about it! Then you can write one sentence about it, I have faith in you :).
