Teachers should not rely on plagiarism detectors (e.g. Turnitin) or AI writing detectors (e.g. GPTZero) to detect AI writing within student work. These tools are simply not reliable in detecting AI written work and have a higher likelihood of flagging work of non-native English speakers as AI written.
