K-3 Art
Welcome to the art room! In art class for grades Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third, students embark on a journey of personal expression where their unique voices and ideas take center stage. Our art curriculum is thoughtfully designed to meet New Jersey Student Learning Standards for the Visual Arts while ensuring every project is developmentally appropriate for growing hands and minds.
Throughout the year, young artists will explore a wide variety of mediums, from tactile clay and vibrant paints to traditional art making materials and more. While we will explore the traditional masters, our lessons will also celebrate a diverse range of contemporary artists who reflect the world we live in today. By connecting with these modern living artists, students see themselves in the art world and learn that their perspectives truly matter.
I am so excited to watch your child build confidence, fine motor skills, and a lifelong love for creativity!
