Positive Behavioral Interventions & Support
PBIS is an evidence-based, tiered framework for supporting students' behavioral, academic, social, emotional, and mental health. PBIS improves social emotional competence, academic success, and school climate.
Our program will recognize our 4th and 5th grade students for showing respectful, responsible, and safe behaviors. Students can earn Trojan Tokens for exhibiting positive behavior. Trojan Tokens can be used at our PBIS store that will be open bi-weekly on Fridays during lunch periods. We will throw quarterly blowouts, or celebrations, to reward our students for exhibiting positive behavior. Attendance at blowouts will be contingent upon students' behaviors throughout the marking period. Everyone starts with a clean slate at the beginning of each quarter.
How can you help at home?
* Talk about ways that your student can earn rewards at school.
* Remind your student that EVERY adult in the building can give Trojan Tokens and we are looking for respectful, responsible, and safe behaviors in all areas of the school.
* Praise positive behavior at home
