Fall Sports Overview

Boys Golf: The boys' golf season went well with a 12-12-1 record overall. They met up with tough teams on tough courses. The Division record in the CCC was 7-5, and they finished 6th in the CCC tournament after being tied for the lead down the stretch. Dylan Dindinger earned All-Conference recognition. They finished the season finishing 12th in the State Tournament.
Boys' Soccer: Boys' soccer had a fantastic season, ending with a heartbreaking loss to Simsbury in the semifinals of the State Championship. The team ended the season with quite a few draws and a few losses, and a 9-5-6 record.
Cheerleading: Cheerleaders are transitioning to their Winter season and looking back at a Fall season that began over the summer at the NCA Camp in Pennsylvania, where they prepared for the coming season. Highlights off the field included an annual Cancer Walk and can drive at each Football game.
Cross Country: The Cross Country team ended their season by defeating Wethersfield, Middletown, Plainville and other towns at conferences, finishing third. Their overall record was 13-5 and the team is especially proud of beating their own records collectively from last year. Senior Kenna O'Brien stated, "We grew together as a team. The progress we made was so impressive, but we also became so much closer over the season. Cross Country truly becomes a family, through team bonding and making practice as fun as possible. I will forever cherish my time on the cross country team.”
Field Hockey: The Field Hockey team ended their season with a strong win against Morgan and a tie game on Senior Night. Off the field, the team organized and ran the Hartford Marathon 5k, raising donations for Achilles International-Connecticut.
Football: The Boys Football team is off to another great season with an overall record of 6-2 at the time this issue was published. Coach Acquavita reached a milestone of 150 career coaching wins. Senior Josiah Smith, #1 for tackles in the State, was also nominated for Game Time CT player of the week.
Girls Soccer: Girls Soccer finished a strong season with a 10-5-1 record, rated 4th in the CCC conference. The team lost a heartbreaking match to Warde in the first round of the CIAC tournament.
Girls Swim and Dive: Girls Swimming and Diving finished a great season with strong performances from underclassmen Alex Sadil and Patrica Napuli. The team also organized a Swim-a-thon, swimming laps to help raise money for the Prudence Crandall Center.
