“THIS WORK is being done because WE have a responsibility to ALL children. We believe the lives of all of our youth are crucial to our collective futures, and in the face of New Jersey's justice landscape, we feel it is our moral and ethical imperative to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline. The key is education: research has shown a quality high school and college experience is a powerful lever of change. Education cannot be standardized; we need a new educational model that empowers our students with quality knowledge and skills and works with them to become change agents to challenge systemic and institutional oppression.”
