A Levels

A Levels are subject-based qualifications usually studied over two years at a sixth form or college.

🔹 What you’ll do:

• Study 3 (sometimes 4) subjects

• Focus on academic learning and exams

• Choose subjects you enjoy or need for university
  
  

🔹 Good for:

• Students aiming for university

• Careers such as law, medicine, teaching, engineering, sciences, and more
  
  

🔹 Example subjects:

Maths, English, Biology, Psychology, History, Computer Science, Art

BTEC (Vocational Courses)

🛠️ BTECs (Vocational Route)

BTECs are practical, coursework-based qualifications linked to specific careers.

🔹 What you’ll do:

• Learn through projects and assignments

• Develop practical skills

• May include work placements

🔹 Good for:

• Students who prefer coursework over exams

• Careers in health & social care, business, sport, media, engineering, childcare
  
  

BTECs can also lead to university, apprenticeships, or employment.

Apprenticeships

🔧 Apprenticeships (Earn While You Learn)

An Apprenticeship allows you to work for an employer while studying towards a qualification.

🔹 What you’ll do:

• Work most of the week in a real job

• Spend time in training or college

• Earn a wage
  
  

🔹 Levels:

• Intermediate (Level 2)

• Advanced (Level 3)

• Higher & Degree Apprenticeships
  
  

🔹 Good for:

• Helps students prepare for the workplace.

• Careers in construction, IT, business, engineering, health, hospitality and more.
  
  

T-Levels

🏗️ T Levels (Technical Route)

T Levels are technical qualifications designed with employers.

🔹 What you’ll do:

• Study one main subject area

• Complete a 45-day industry placement

• Mix classroom learning with real experience

🔹 Available in areas such as:

Digital, Education & Childcare, Health, Construction, Engineering, Business

🔹 Good for:

• Students who want practical learning

• Moving into skilled employment, apprenticeships, or university
