Crucially, our curriculum actively embraces the 2025 Curriculum Framework of National Security Education. We believe that global competence must be anchored in a strong national and global identity. To achieve this, our panel has purposefully integrated elements of national security—such as cultural, ecological, and technological security—into our language modules. By reading about the latest technological advancements in China, discussing environmental conservation efforts, and appreciating Chinese cultural heritage translated into English, students develop a profound sense of belonging and law-abiding awareness. This approach allows students to practice expressing national achievements and concepts in English, empowering them to tell our nation's story effectively on the global stage.
Language learning at our school goes beyond vocabulary and grammar; it is a vehicle for Values Education and fostering a healthy lifestyle. Through carefully curated literary texts, debates, and drama-in-education, students explore complex moral and civic themes. This exposure helps them build empathy, resilience, and a positive mindset. By engaging with diverse perspectives in English, students learn to respect different cultures while solidifying their own personal values, directly addressing the EDB’s goals for personal growth and moral development.
