"What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal."
Yes, bring in EMS is personally rewarding, but the good your work provides to your patients, your community, and the world continues long after you've ended your shift. Few careers can allow you to feel good about your work while leaving an immeasurable mark of goodwill on the world!
"If I only had an hour to chop down a tree, I would spend the first 45 minutes sharpening my axe."
IN EMS there is nothing more valuable than being prepared. Ensure you have all your supplies and tools and your equipment is well maintained. Keep a learning mindset to increase your knowledage and skills. If you're considering a career in EMS, ensure you begin with top-notch education and training. Failure is not a roadblock, its a whetstone meant to sharpen your axe for a bigger tree!
