My student is in a Compact program. Will he or she receive a Chromebook?

Yes! Last year, the other Compact schools helped us out by giving our Norton students a Chromebook. This year, we will be giving our Norton students a Chromebook. All schools in the Compact will use a school-owned Chromebook from their home school.

My student is taking CCP classes. Will he or she receive a Chromebook?

As long as the student comes into our school building for any class, he or she will receive a Chromebook.

My student already has a personal Chromebook. Can he or she just use that at school?

Unfortunately, they cannot. Think of this Chromebook like a textbook. This is what we are using for teaching and learning as well as assessments. A personal Chromebook does not provide the same resources and environment as a school-managed Chromebook does.

My student is newly enrolled.  How will he or she get their Chromebook?

Once enrolled and the parent has signed off on the Chromebook Agreement in Final Forms, the building secretary will notify the Technology Department with a ticket to our help desk letting us know that a Chromebook should be issued.

Can we take our Chromebook somewhere to be repaired if there is an issue?

No.  You can first try our troubleshooting tips on this website and then if the issue is not resolved, have your student report the issue to their teacher or the Main Office.  The Main Office will then assign a temporary loaner while the issue is investigated.  The student will receive their originally assigned Chromebook back.  The Main Office will keep track of Chromebook assignments.

How do we pay the $30 Insurance & Monitoring charge?

This charge will be in PaySchoolsCentral just like all other fees.  Please note that high school fees do not populate until after the first week of school because students have the ability to make schedule changes and thus the fees would change.
