Chromebook Care Information:
Display/Screen:
Avoid placing weight or pressure on the Chromebook lid.
Refrain from touching the screen.
Do not place the Chromebook on a seating location or the floor.
Hinges:
Stress on the hinges of the Chromebook creates another potential for Chromebook damage.
Open/close the Chromebook gently, grasp the center of the lid and not the corner.
Charging Cord:
Plug the cord into the Chromebook carefully. Plugging in/pulling out the charger quickly and/or recklessly can result in damage to the device.
Avoid stretching the cord across an area where it can be snagged or tripped on.
Always disconnect the cord from the Chromebook when moving it.
Do not plug in the Chromebook unless the battery is low. This will extend the life of the battery in the Chromebook.
Proper Handling:
Close the lid when carrying the Chromebook. Make sure there are no school supplies (pens, paper, etc.) when shutting the lid.
Do not hold the Chromebook by the lid! Hold it with the lid closed with two hands!
Safely Securing the Chromebook:
Never leave your Chromebook in an unsecured place (i.e. car seat, floor, chair, bed, or other space where it is likely to get stepped or sat on). Rather, place it on a flat, secure surface.
When placing the Chromebook inside the case and in a bookbag, be sure not to drop the bookbag on the floor or hard surface. This can easily break the screen.
Use the Chromebook Carrying Case that was provided when transporting!
