Book & Material Checkout Process

Q: Do I have to come to REMC 2C to pick up materials?

We want to make sure getting your books and resources is as easy as possible! Depending on your district, we have a few ways to get items right to your door:

For Most Local Districts

If your school has a bus that travels to the Career Tech Building, you don't need to make the trip to see us!

Delivery: We will send your materials directly to your district via "bus mail."
Returns: When you’re finished, simply ask your school’s administrative assistant where regional mail is picked up. Your bus driver will bring it back to us.

For TCAPS Staff

TCAPS utilizes a dedicated mail courier that runs every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. They handle all REMC 2C deliveries and returns for every building in the TCAPS district.

No Bus? No Problem!

If your specific building doesn’t have a regular bus route to Career Tech, we can still help. We are happy to coordinate with:

A reliable high school student attending a Career Tech program.
A fellow staff member who works in our building.

We know how classroom schedules can change! If you need an extension:

Just Ask: Send us a quick note or give us a call.
We’re Flexible: As long as another teacher isn't waiting for that specific item, we are usually happy to extend your due date.
Community First: Checking in helps us make sure every student in the region gets their turn with the "high-demand" robots and kits.

AI Resources

In this section you will find AI Resources and Tools. There's more information we have curated including prompt generation guide, tools, other various sources. These are tools that we have looked at for Safety and Privacy in the school environment.

Canva Resource Library

This is our collection of Canva learning videos you can use these to learn all about Canva. Start with simple navigation and grow your knowledge to learn how to find templates and develop gamification tools for classroom use. No experience necessary just curiosity and imagination!

Courses will also be hosted for SCECHS throughout the school year.

Computer Science Resource

Michigan has CS standards that are expected to be taught in schools. The first thing you should know is that many of you are already teaching Computer Science without even realizing it. Also, know that you can do a ton with CS without even actually needing a computer- we call these Unplugged activities.Take a look at some of the resources we have below to help you get started.

Are you interested in esports, but don't know where to start? We have the equipment and resources available to help your school get the ball rolling.

MiStream.net

MI Streamnet is another free resource provided to our local educators. Think of it as a combination of EdPuzzle and YouTube. You can house your videos, adding in quizzes and questions, but without all the advertisements.

Podcast: Classroom Connections

The podcast, Classroom Connections, is hosted by REMC 2c's team. Listen and learn on the go! Join our Google Group to earn free SCECHs.

Podcasting for Educators

Created to support educators interested in podcasting with a focus on using podcasting in education. These resources help answer common questions and how-to's.

We have a podcasting kit available for checkout and resources to support you in your journey.

Maker Space

This space is ready to host school field trips as a learning lab for all things educational technology. Play with zip snips and cardboard then use the Make do screws to create items out of cardboard. User Tynker cad to design 3d prints and use our 3d printers to bring your construction to life! We have a lot of activities to be done in the MakerSpace.

Conference Room

REMC 2C has a conference room that you can reserve to use. This room is great for professional learning outside your building or a local meeting space.

Social Emotional Resources

Kent ISD created an amazing resource called the "SEL Playground." Here you'll find more details on the Playground. We can bring the playground to your school for classroom use. It also makes a wonderful PD for teachers!
