Local Resources

Local Professional Learning

REMC 2Central provides a variety of professional learning opportunities.  From artificial intelligence to the Google products, REMC is here to support the educational technology needs of your staff. 

We provide local PL options throughout the year.  (Look on the calendar above for upcoming events.)  The REMC statewide organization provides a variety of asynchronous professional learning opportunities every month that teachers can attend on their own time to earn SCECHs.  

We can visit schools to help facilitate PL.  Fill out this Google Form to tell us a little bit about what you are looking for.

REMC 2 Central now has esports equipment available to help schools who are interested in creating an esports club.

Maker Space

New to REMC 2C this year is our maker space.  This space is, ready to host school fieldtrips as a learning lab for all things educational technology.

To help support our local teachers with Michigan's computer science standards, REMC has curated a variety of materials, resources, and websites to help you on this journey.  CS vocabulary and REMC resources.

MI Streamnet is a free resource provided to our local educators.  Think of it as a combination of EdPuzzle and YouTube.  You can house your videos, adding in quizzes and questions, but without all the advertisements.

Show copyrighted movies in your school or library - legally! Movie Licensing USA provides Public Performance Site Licensing to K-12 schools and public libraries on behalf of the major Hollywood motion picture studios. In addition to providing peace of mind, this license ensures that entertainment movies are used legally in these public venues. For the FAQ on copyright compliance, visit their website.

Discovery Education offers in depth digital media content that is immersive and engaging.
