What is space debris? How can we clean it?

Zain - 4th Grade

My project is about space debris and what impacts it makes on space travel, etc. I am proposing my idea about how we can clean space, in a more cost-effective way. Most of the current solutions require the whole satellite which is sent out to clean space to deorbit with the debris/object and get destroyed. My idea is about building a satellite which has multiple options of cleaning which might make it cost effective. It is a concept prototype which I named S-21 Scrubinator. All it would need is a net, foaming substance and robotic arms that could be replaced from outside when needed, which could be sent by anyone going to space stations present in low earth orbit. I hope you really enjoy my project, it was really fun building my concept satellite.

Improve the Child Seat Belt Safety Feature in a Car

Aadhyasri - 4th Grade & Shriyan - 1st Grade

Wearing safety belts is necessary and wearing it correctly saves lives. In some situations, parents may forget to put the baby’s seat safety belt properly or toddlers on few occasions may remove the seat belt because of different reasons. Also, children and teens can easily loosen their seat belts despite of the parents warning to put on seat belts during family trips.

In such situations especially when the parents are driving the car, the seat belt warning lights in the instrument console should either blink or turn on. Messages should appear along with the warning light and a warning signal with beep sound should happen at the same time so that, the warning message reminds the parents that the child’s safety belt is not put on or not wearing it properly.

This feature is not seen in any of the as. Myself and my first-grade brother as a team would like to work on the concept to develop the idea and will be demonstrated.
