The sixth grade curriculum includes the study of Earth and space science. Earth and space science explores the interconnections between the land, ocean, atmosphere, and life of our planet. These include the cycles of water, carbon, rock, and other materials that continuously shape, influence, and sustain Earth and its inhabitants. Earth and space science also explores the predictable interactions between the Earth's systems and the Sun and Moon. The sixth grade curriculum includes the following units of study:

Science News for Students and National Geographic are two online sources that we use throughout the year. They include current articles that are both interesting and informative. Students are usually given a choice of age appropriate articles that they may read, review, and share with classmates. Click on the images to access online magazines.
