The Marching Band is an extension of the curricular music offerings at North Rockland High School and Fieldstone Middle School.
Football Games: The Marching Band performs at all Home and Away Football games. Home games are on Saturday afternoons, and Away games are typically on Friday nights. The band provides support to the football team in the form of pep music, cheering, entertainment, motivation, and promoting a sense of school spirit.
Competitions: The primary focus of the Marching Band is to compete with other marching bands in our region. We prepare a field show consisting of 3-4 songs around a musical or visual theme, learn drill (the formations on the field), and perform choreography. We participate in a circuit called "US Bands" which provides local competitions, a State Championship, and a National Championship.
Parades: During the Spring, the Marching band has several opportunities to perform in parades throughout the region. This is a great way for the band to be visible in the community, promote North Rockland pride, and entertain parade goers.
