Accessibility Statement

North Park School District is committed to providing information on its websites and applications that are accessible to all individuals, including individuals with sensory, cognitive, and mobility disabilities. 


In order to promote accessibility, good faith efforts are being made by the district to ensure that all district webpages and applications comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, level AA criteria. These guidelines help make web content accessible not only to users with sensory, cognitive and mobility disabilities, but ultimately to all users, regardless of ability.

Progress Report

As of September 1, 2024, the District has taken the following efforts to ensure accessibility: Implement a new ADA compliant website.


Compliance Plan

Pursuant to HB 21-1110, the district has created an accessibility plan, see above.


Training

The District Technology Manager and leadership team has been trained on the changes that are necessary and will train the staff to ensure their class pages are compliant including but not limited to classroom sites and

Why we are at this stage 

North Park School District recognizes the need for compliance.  We are a small district with limited resources.  February 2024-June 2024- exploration began to determine our current compliance status and recognized that we need an ADA compliant website in order to be fully compliant.  After many demonstrations of different website companies, we have chosen a new website platform that matches our needs.  This website will be up and running by September 2024.
