Greenhand Fire Up is one of the first big experiences our new members get to enjoy, and it sets the tone for their entire FFA journey. This event brings together Greenhands from across the area for a day of learning, leadership, and hands‑on activities that introduce them to what FFA is all about. Our members come home energized, confident, and excited to get involved. Greenhand Fire Up not only builds skills, it builds friendships, sparks motivation, and helps our newest members feel truly connected to the North Butler FFA Chapter.
State Convention is one of the biggest highlights of the year for the North Butler FFA Chapter. Each spring, our members travel to Des Moines to take part in contests, explore agricultural careers, and celebrate the accomplishments of FFA chapters from across Iowa. For many, it’s also the moment they receive their Iowa FFA Degree, one of the highest honors a member can earn. Between competing, cheering on teammates, and visiting college booths to plan for the future, State Convention gives our members a chance to grow, connect, and experience the excitement of FFA on a statewide level.
IAT—Ignite, Amplify, Transform—is one of the most energizing leadership experiences our members take part in each year. Held at DMACC, this conference gives students the chance to build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, and connect with FFA members from across the state. Throughout the day, our members dive into hands‑on workshops, team activities, and sessions designed to help them grow both personally and as leaders within our chapter. IAT leaves our students motivated, inspired, and ready to bring new ideas and energy back to North Butler FFA.
