Our school library has a small number of targeted nonfiction books available (about 3,500). They're specifically chosen to support your research! Search in our catalog to find books about your country of choice.
Northbrook Public Library and it's associated libraries have an extensive collection of books covering many topics. If you can't find the book you're looking for in our collection, this is a good place to go next for book sources. Ms. Greene can help you request and pick up books if necessary.

Student Resources in Context is a general reference database that compiles many contemporary news sources. If your topic is one that would likely be covered in the news you will find relevant sources here.
Google Scholar is awesome, but usually has limited access to content. A good strategy is to do initial searches in Google scholar to identify relevant sources and then use the source citation to locate an accessible version in our databases.
Science in Context compiles news items, reference materials, and academic journal articles all pertaining to science. Topics pertaining to biology, chemistry, and physics will find results here.
