The District’s mission to "Empower every learner to be an engaged, confident, caring, and inspired citizen," is ambitious. It requires intentional planning for teaching and learning to purposefully integrate technology in innovative ways. We've named our 1:1 initiative Learning First to invest in teachers as the most influential part of student learning. While technology is a powerful tool to enhance and extend learning goals, the instructional moves that are paired with engaging tools is what puts Learning First and Technology Second. As a result, we want to be thoughtful to fit curricular goals, match best practice, and align with the Triple E framework. We recognize that identifying the instructional implications of technology in the classroom is challenging work. As coaches, our job is to work side by side with teachers to help them reach their goals for student learning. We turn to Diane Sweeney's model of Student Centered Coaching to guide our work.
