Community Events
Community Events are an FRC initiative to give back to our local community. Each month we will do our very best to support 1 local organization with things that they need. Below are the upcoming months and what they are in need of. Thanks in advance for the help we are giving to these great places!

October Event (over)
Thank-you to everyone that brought in books to donate to this great organization! I dropped off 439 books 11/17/21 all thanks to all of you!! Great job!
November Event (over)
For the month of November we collected food items to be given to the North Branford food pantry to be distributed to those that need it for the holidays.
I am pleased to announce that we collected....
2.5 boxes from JHS
4.5 bags from TVES
Thank you to those that donated items!!! We helped a lot of people!
December Event (over)
For the month of December we helped out this awesome organization that helps our furry friends in need! This group collects items and shares them with feral colonies that need help caring for the homeless cats. They also share with local shelters and rescues that are always in need of items.
FRC was able to hand over many bags of dry food and some canned food to Mark who runs the group. See picture of his Facebook post thanking us!
January Event (over)
For the month of January, we collected much needed items for the homeless. The Branford Counseling & Community Services organization in Branford is a municipally- funded behavioral health and social services agency providing services to Branford residents both adults and children.
Jennifer, from BCCS, came on 2/1/22 to pick up all of the items we collected for the month of February. She wanted to thank everyone for their contributions!!
February Event (over)
For the month of February, FRC helped out the Branford Compassion Club! They are a rescue that also cares for the many feral cats in the area.
Canned cat food is hard to come by lately, but we were able to donate a total of 87 cans of food, 1 bag of dry and a large container of treats!

March Event

We were able to collect a few items at TVES but many more came in to JHS! We handed over 1 full bag and 1 full box of food!
We also collected $0.05 returnable bottles & cans that will be cashed in and donated to the pantry as well!
April Event (over)
For the month of April, we helped out the Farm River Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Inc. The woman Karyn handles this organization in East Haven and helps care for many squirrels, possums, etc.
We were able to donate 3 bags of towels over to her and the critters in need!!

May Event (over)
For the month of May we helped out the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter! This shelter is located in Branford CT, but helps out many surrounding towns.
They were in desperate need of cleaning supplies so we did our best to donate those items among some other things for the animals!
