FRC clubs are run by a different staff member doing something they personally enjoy. We usually need to limit the groups to 10 kids or less based on supplies, space, and manageable to the staff member. We do offer "sign ups" to the kids and there are times we need to pick who participates. If your child doesn't get chosen for one, be assured he/she will for more than 2 during the year. We do our best to offer them in morning and afternoons since not all kids are here same time every day. We look forward this more personalized opportunity with your child/children!
STAY TUNED TO SEE WHAT CLUBS WE WILL OFFER AS WELL AS PICTURES FROM EACH CLUB!
For the months of May/June Miss Kristina will be doing Tie Dye Club! The kids will get to pick from a book of designs and try to plan out what they will create on paper first. We then put the elastics on the shirts. Finally we get to dye them and reveal their creations!
For the month of April, Miss Kristina will be doing Garden Club! The kids will learn about what's needed for plants to grow, plant their own seeds in a few different forms and even help maintain FRC garden areas!
For the month of February, Mr. Paul is going to do a "cursive club". He is one of our staff members that works at both sites, so he is going to offer it at both on the days he's there! He is hoping to teach them the alphabet and by the end get them to sign their names!
For the month of February, Miss Christiana is going to do a "dance club" in the afternoons. She was very involved in dance growing up and her mom was an instructor. The kids are very excited to participate in this!
For the month of February, Miss Linda is going to do a "BINGO club" on Thursday mornings and afternoons. She will be going over colors, shapes, number, etc. There will be non food items given out as prizes for the winners.
For the month of November, Miss Kristina does Kindness club since World Kindness Day takes place this month as well as Thanksgiving. From friendship bracelets to fuse bead magnets to ending with kindness rocks, the kids will be making things to give away to others to express kindness around school and town.
For the month of October @ TVES, both Kayliana and Jack will be teaming up to do some ASL with the kids.. They will be teaching them things and reviewing a few days later to make sure they remember what they learned. Mr Jack held a club at JHS last year so some kids should remember some things. The goal is to learn some basics, as well as how to spell their name!
For the month of October @ JHS, Joann, Barb & Linda will be teaming up to do some "October-ish" crafts with the kids.. From fall things, to Halloween, the kids will have a new project each Thursday afternoon.
