Community Events

Community Events are an FRC initiative to give back to our local community. A few times throughout the school year we will do our very best to support 1 local organization with things that they need over the course of a month. Below are the upcoming months and what they are in need of. Thanks in advance for the help we are giving to these great places!

Bottle/Can Drive

Both FRC sites will have an ongoing returnable bottle & can drive during the year. We will use this money collected to support the following:

East Haven Animal Shelter

Total amount raised: $ 285.21 (as of 6/18/25)

NB Food Pantry Drive

For the month of April, FRC collected items needed for the North Branford Food Pantry. Not only did we help humans, but there is also a "Scarlett's Corner" that is to help 4-legged family members in need too.

Branford Compassion Club Collection

For the month of February we collected some much needed items to help the Branford Compassion Club. They are an organization in Branford that help care for animals that need homes as well as feral cat communities.

They needed the following:

paper towels
13 gallon trash bags
canned cat food (blue buffalo & purina)

AND LOOK HOW MUCH WE DONATED 3/6/25!!!

Holiday Cards for Seniors

For the month of December, the kids at both sites both colored 50 holiday cards making it 100 total!! These cards are for the senior citizens of North Branford that will be attending the Holiday Party mid December at STW.

Read to Grow Book Drive

For the month of October, we accepted book donations for Read to Grow. I am happy to announce that I was able to drop off a total of 118 books 11/6/24.

There were many books that didn't qualify as up to their standards, but they were ether given to other kids in the program, given away to those in need and many were placed in "free little libraries."
