Completing the Common Application
Follow these steps to get started on your Common Application
These 3 steps MUST be completed first!!
Education (adding NBHS as your high school):
From the home page, click on the Common App tab and then Education on the left hand side
Click on Find School and start typing North Branford High School where indicated...it will appear on a drop down list for you to select
Answer the following questions with these answers:
Date of Entry: August 2021
Is this a boarding school?: No
Will you graduate from this school?: Yes
Graduation Date: June 2025
In the last part, click on the No Change in Progression box
Add at least one College to your application:
From the home page, click on the My Colleges tab
Click on Add a College
Type in the name of the school you are adding and then select it from the drop down list that appears
Click on Add to My Colleges
Sign the FERPA Waiver:
From the home page, click on the My Colleges tab
Click on any of the colleges on the list on the left hand side (once you do this step one time for one school, you will not have to do it again for any other schools)
Click on Recommenders and FERPA
Click on Complete Release Authorization. Read the information carefully and check the box indicating that you have read it. Go through the next few screens, checking boxes as needed. On the last screen, you will be asked whether you WAIVE or DO NOT WAIVE your right to review documentation submitted on your behalf to support your application, including your letters of recommendation. You will then "sign" your name and click Save & Close.
