How to Prepare

3. Set Up Your Account

You should have received an email from Pearson. Follow the link to set your password and make sure you can log in.

If you did not receive an email from Pearson please let me know (kjopson@northampton-k12.us or extension 1366).

4. Familiarize Yourself with the Process

How-To Guides, videos, and presentations.

5. Practice Proctoring

Email me to create a practice account. You can practice logging in, starting sessions, resuming students' tests -- everything you will need to do on test day.

A Note on Accommodations

  • Your students' accommodations will be entered by the MCAS Administration team. Students will have access to them when they log in to test.
        • Please email Lori if you have questions about your student's accommodations.
        • If you would like a student to practice with their accommodations before the test, email me (kjopson@northampton-k12.us) or reserve time directly on my appointment calendar.
  • If one of your students has a graphic organizer accommodation, you can download those here: MCAS Grade 10 Essay and MCAS Grade 10 Narrative.
