With takeout.google.com/transfer your emails and Google Drive will go directly to a personal Google account.

Google Takeout

Takeout.google.com is also helpful, but it is going to prepare a zip file that you can download to your computer. This is great for things like photos. There are 53 different programs that it will download information from. Most people, including myself, wouldn't know what to do with most of those files outside of Google-- but I would still download them so I had them, especially if I won't have access to my old account. After you use Google Takeout you will get an email when your download is ready. You will then have one week to download your zip file to a personal computer.
