This is one of teachers' favorite games. It can easily be played at home. The deck of digit cards and the recording sheets can easily be made at home using any paper and a pencil or you can print out these sheets.
As you play, you can discuss strategies for getting even closer. Playing as a cooperative game and sharing strategies can keep it fun.
This game can be modified to be played as a Close to 20 game, or a Close to 1000.
