Code of Conduct
Lancers are safe, responsible, and respectful.
The NSJH Student Code of Conduct outlines expectations for student conduct to keep our school a safe, positive place for ALL to learn!
In order to ensure the safety, learning, teaching, and daily operations of our school, it is an expectation that all students at North Scott Junior High School conduct themselves in a safe, responsible, and respectful manner. The North Scott Junior High staff uses the foundations of The Lancer Way to consistently teach appropriate behavioral and social skills and relationship-building techniques, while emphasizing self-empowerment, to help foster a safer, more effective school and positive, connected learners.

Consequences for Inappropriate Student Conduct
NSJH Behavior Management and Discipline Plan
The safety and welfare of students and staff must be protected and maintained at all times. It is the goal of North Scott Junior High that students learn from their experiences in order to become self-regulated, safe, responsible, and respectful members of our community. Accepting consequences for inappropriate conduct is a part of this learning process. A parent or guardian will be notified of each office referral and consequence via email.
All disciplinary matters handled by the administration shall be of a matter of record through the use of the discipline notice forms kept in the office or on our computers. Administrators will notify parents/guardians about information and consequences directly pertaining to their child.
Due Process
Students involved in discipline or attendance difficulties will be afforded “due process” in the handling of the situation. This includes the student’s right to express his or her view of the problem and to have others’ view of the problem presented to them. If you are unclear about your status or rights to due process, ask that they be explained to you.
