Dates: July 12 - July 27, 2023

Days: Monday - Thursday

Hours: Average 30 per week 

• 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. 

Work Location: Newport News Public Schools Staff Support Center 12511 Warwick Blvd.

• Students will travel to various summer school and NNPS locations as determined by supervisor

Job Description: 

• Serve as summer Point of Contact for NNPS.

• Provides IT related support for hardware, software, and isolated problems from students and staff. 

• Qualified candidates must excel in all facets of education, be self-motivated, organized and possess strong customer skills. 

• This position will support ticket requests for all software and hardware requirements supporting the school division

Special Skills Required: Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; or kneel. Must frequently lift and/or move and push/pull up to 26 pounds. Technology Education students encouraged to apply.

Special Attire or Equipment Needed: 

Collared shirt (provided) is required during work hours. Must follow NNPS dress code.

Compensation Information: $10.40 per hour
