About the Teachers

Hello, my name is Mrs. Scheiderer. I am originally from San Diego. I moved to Hampton Virginia in the 5th grade and attended Eaton Middle School and Hampton High School. I graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Physical Education/Health. I have been teaching PE for 15 years in Virginia. I am married with 2 children, David is 23 and Lauren is 20. I have always been an athlete. My favorite sports to play and watch are volleyball, softball, biking, skating, swimming, tennis, soccer, and flag football. I was an art major before I changed to a PE major and still love all things related to art. My hobbies are biking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, puzzles, trivia games, GOT, and painting. I have an Australian Sheppard named Kellie that is my baby. She weighs 35 pounds but I still carry her everywhere. I love teaching PE mostly because I love my students. My favorite moments are when a student realizes they are good at something they have never done before and when non-athletes like my class. I am very politically active and truly believe that young people are the answer to the worlds problems. I have tremendous faith in this generation to do the right thing and make the world a safe place for all people no matter what language they speak or the color of their skin.
