This year Physical Education will focus on fitness concepts, biking, skating, archery, health, and family life. We will spend approximately 8 days on each unit and take a 25 question test at the end of each 8 day unit. A study guide will be given to each student 1 week prior to the test. The fitness concept units are fitness essentials, muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance, and flexibility. In addition to these units students will try and pass their Physical Fitness Tests that include curl-ups, push-ups, pacer, sit-n-reach, and trunk lift.
Students with injuries: Injured students with Doctor's notes will be able to earn a participation grade by completing written work in the library. If the injury is longer than 3 weeks a request will be made for the student to be moved into another related arts class until the student is cleared for PE. Students in hard casts cleared by their doctor may not participate in team sports due to safety issues but may participate in individual activities.
