Jessica Beeler - Welcome to Second Grade! My name is Jessica Beeler and I am so excited to be your teacher this year! This will be my 4th year teaching, but my first year teaching in Newport News. I have taught kindergarten and second grade.
I grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee (Go Vols!). I attended Tennessee Technological University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education. I also hold an Associates of Science degree in Elementary Education from Roane State Community College.
I married Mr. Beeler in 2015, but we have been together since high school. We have a spunky, silly miniature schnauzer named Dixon. He is working on getting his Canine Good Citizenship Certification.
I am very passionate about my family, reading, and hiking. I love being outdoors as much as I possibly can. I am a mountain girl, but really enjoy living near the beach!

Tiffany Jones - Welcome to Second Grade! My name is Tiffany Jones and I am so excited to be your teacher this year! This is my 19th year of teaching in Newport News. I have taught K, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade.
I grew up in Newport News, VA. I attended Norfolk State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I obtained my Masters in Reading from Kaplan University. I am passionate about reading and I can’t wait to pass on my love of reading to your child!
I got married to Mr. Jones in 1992 and we have 1 wonderful daughter. Gabrielle attends Bethel High School and this is her second year in high school. I’m very proud of my family!
When I’m not teaching or planning, I love to read, shop, and enjoy quality family time.

Beth DeWitt - Welcome to Second Grade! My name is Beth DeWitt and I am so excited to be your teacher this year! This is my 17th year of teaching and my 8th in Newport News. I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade.
I grew up in Seaford, VA. I attended Longwood University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Special Education. I obtained my Masters in Early Childhood Education from James Madison University.
I married Mr. DeWitt in 1995 and we have 1 wonderful son. Brendon attends Grafton High School and this is his senior year. I also have one four legged baby: Sterling (English Springer Spaniel). I’m very proud of my family!
I am passionate about reading, singing, dogs, and spending time at or on the water. I enjoy eating seafood and CHOCOLATE, but I am Gluten intolerant!

Jennifer Howell - Welcome to Second Grade! My name is Mrs. Howell; I am so excited to be your teacher this year! I have been teaching in Newport News for 15 years, 8 of those years at Deer Park. I was a Kindergarten teacher for 6 years, First grade for 1 year and this is my 7th year in 2nd grade.
I grew up in a very small town in South Carolina and I am a southern girl through and through. I attended College of Charleston and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood. I love learning and I’m an avid reader. I can’t wait to pass on my love of reading to your child!
I got married to Mr. Howell in 2004 and we have 2 very energetic and busy boys. Jaxson is our 10 year old and is in fifth grade. Jamison is 8 and will be in third grade this year.
When I’m not teaching or planning awesome things for us to do at school…I enjoy reading, relaxing on the beach, and spending time with my family!
