OPTIS: Online Parent-Teacher Interview Scheduler

OPTIS will open for booking of appointments on Wednesday November 22 at 9:00 a.m..

The system will close for appointment bookings at noon on November 29.

OPTIS is our preferred method for booking interviews because parents and guardians may schedule their own appointments online. We ask that you book only one appointment slot (unless directed by your child’s teacher) so that everyone gets the opportunity to visit the teacher. Also, we request that you adhere to the 10-15 minute time slot as this helps keep things moving along and prevents long wait times. Directions for using this system are below.

When using OPTIS for the first time you will need to create an account.

Click on the New Parents option above the sign in box if you do not already have an account. If you had an account last year, you can sign in. Complete all required fields (use Tab key to move from field to field). When you have completed all required fields, click continue. You should receive a message saying that your account was successfully created.

Register your child/children: To do this, simply follow the prompts by pressing continue. To add a child, click on the Add a student box in lower section of screen. The parent name should appear in the parent field. Type in your child’s name in the required field. If you want to add another child, check the Add a student box and press continue.

Add appointments. The screen that has opened should have your child’s name on it, as well as a list of teachers. Simply select the correct teacher, as well as the appropriate date, and click continue. On this screen, pick a time from the drop down menu and press continue. You should get a message that your appointment time has been reserved. Refer to the Help link at the top right hand corner to answer any questions you may have about OPTIS.

We encourage you to take the time to meet with your child(ren)'s teacher(s) to discuss their progress in Term 1 and work with their teacher to ensure continued growth.
