Greetings from me! I’m not as young as I was when I had this picture taken but, as you can see, getting photographed made me cry back then, and still does today…
FYI I teach English and Novel Cinema at Prince of Wales. I’ve been here either for 12 years or 29 years-it’s a puzzle, and math is not my forte. In fact, both are true. I’ve taught at PWC for 12 years, and also graduated from here in 1984, one of the first class of grade 12 graduates in NL. I guess I can’t get enough of this place.
Prior to teaching at PWC, I spent considerable time teaching at Beaconsfield Junior High and, before that, some years out of province in both Alberta and Quebec. My career includes a long list of “all the things” except those dangerous subjects such as chemistry and interpretive dance.
That’s it-that’s all there is. Me, in a nutshell.
Mrs. Lockyer currently teaches English 2201, Writing 2203 and Career 2202 at Prince of Wales Collegiate. Prior to teaching at PWC , Mrs Lockyer taught at Waterford Valley High for 2 years, Bishops College for 8 years, and Baccalieu Collegiate in Old Perlican and at St. Joseph's All Grade in Terrenceville. She has many fond memories of her time spent in these schools.
