The PWC English Department is made up of four members of staff. We deliver a variety of courses, from the Academic and general programs to Novel Cinema and Writing.
Students graduating from High School in Newfoundland must complete three two credit courses in ELA and one additional language course. This means one ELA course in each Grade 10, Grade 11 and Grade 12 as well as a course such as Drama, French/Français or Writing. For many students this will look like:
Grade Ten: English 1201 OR English 1202
Grade Eleven: English 2201 OR English 2202
Grade Twelve: English 3201 OR English 3202
Plus their one optional language course in one of the three years.
