December 8, 2021: The last 3 classes have been health. Today we continued working through order of operations with decimals. Pages 122 #11. 12 and page 123 # 4 were assigned in class. There will be no math class until Monday and these are expected to be completed for then. Test on unit 3 will be December 14, students were made aware of this last week.
December 2, 2021: Began order of operations with decimals. Worked through a number of examples in the first class and assigned page 109 #'s 1-4 to be completed in the second class. 1&2 are expected to be completed for homework.
December 1, 2021: Had working classes on division of decimals. 2 worksheets posted on Google Classroom. Students are expected to work through questions until they have a good understanding for homework. Answers are found after the worksheet on Google Classroom.
November 30, 2021: Had a working class for division of decimals. Worked through page 106-107 #'s 1, 5, 6, 9. Only #1ab, and 5 are to be completed for homework. The other questions are extra practice.
November 29, 2021: Continued division of decimals. Began doing them without models. Will continue tomorrow. Assignment due Friday, December 3, 2021.
November 25, 2021: Worked through more multiplying decimals examples. Please note a mistake in question #8 MC on the assignment, correction is in the comments on Google Classroom.
November 24, 2021: Worked through multiplication of decimal numbers without models. Also did a review of multiplication of 2+ digit numbers. Assigned pages 102-103 #8, 13a to be completed in class. Handed out Unit 3a Assignment, it is going to be collected on December 3, 2021.
November 23, 2021: Began multiplying decimals using tile models today. Assigned page 102 #'s 1, 2, 4ac to be completed in class. Anything not complete was assigned for homework. Note: Grid paper was handed out to complete the questions on.
November 19, 2021: Had a mental math quiz today. Will continue with subtraction of decimals on Monday.
November 16, 2021: Began multiplication of 0.001, 0.01, 0.1, 10, 100, 1000 with decimal numbers today in mental math. Quiz on Friday. Also began addition of decimals.
November 10, 2021: Completed problem solving today. Introduced addition and subtraction of decimals in todays class.
November 9, 2021: Completed a practice test in preparation for test tomorrow. Answer key is on Google Classroom.
November 1, 2021: Worked through plotting points on a graph. Assigned paged 318 #2, 4, 6a, 7 to complete in class. Anything not complete was assigned for homework. Math test will be given next Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
October 28, 2021: Had been completing unit 1 in health the past 3 classes. Today we completed subtraction of integers using number lines. Mental math quiz, which we have been practicing at the beginning of class. Assigned page 21 in the notes to be completed in class as well as page 73 #'s 1, 3, 4. Page 21 was assigned for homework, the other 3 questions are supplemental practice.
October 21, 2021: Finished adding integers with number lines. Assigned a worksheet as well as page 62 #'s 1-2 to be completed in class. Anything not complete was assigned for homework.
October 20, 2021: Worked through adding integers with number lines. Assigned pages 11-14 to be complete in note booklets. Anything not complete in class was assigned for homework.
October 19, 2021: Continued addition of integers with tiles. Assigned pages 54-55 # 1, 2, 6 as well as page 58-59 # 1, 2, 3, 4, 8. Anything not complete was assigned for homework.
October 18, 2021: Began an introduction on modeling integers with tiles as well as addition of integers with tiles.
October 15, 2021: Completed a large number activity in class. Will continue with introduction to unit 2 next class.
October 13, 2021: Began the last section of Unit 1. Worked through using algebra tiles to solve expressions. Handed out a worksheet in the second class which was assigned for homework if not completed.
October 4, 2021: Collected assignments. Continued more word problem questions. Assigned page 26 and 27 in the notes to be completed in class, if not complete it was homework. Test is October 8, 2021
September 28, 2021: Worked through input/output tables. Assignment is now due on Monday, October 4, 2021.
September 27, 2021: Completed a lesson on order of operations. Assignment is due on Friday, October 1, 2021.
September 23, 2021: Worked through more mental math in preparation for a quiz tomorrow. When students finished they were assigned page 47 #1 to complete.
September 22, 2021: Started with more mental math on divisibility. Quiz will be Friday. Students worked on their extra practice when complete. The second class today we began algebra and worked through some examples as a class.
September 21, 2021: More mental math divisibility rules practice. Quiz will be on Friday. After completing their mental math the students had some extra practice to complete. In the second class today, assigned pages 12-13 #'s 3, 5, and 6
September 20, 2021: Began divisibility rule mental math. There will be a small quiz on Friday using these rules.
September 17. 2021: Continued with Venn and Carroll Diagram worksheet. Anything not complete was assigned for homework.
September 16, 2021: Worked on a divisibility rule, Venn Diagram and Carroll Diagram worksheet. Will continue this next class.
September 14. 2021: Completed a lesson on divisibility by 0 and started a lesson on Venn diagrams and Carroll Diagrams.
