Dr. Schwanke has been an educator for 24 years, teaching or leading at all levels. Having worked as a principal for 17 years, she is currently an instructor in educational administration at Miami University. She has received her doctoral degree at The Ohio State University. Currently she is serving as a deputy superintendent in Dublin, Ohio. Dr. Schwanke frequently collaborates and appears in the Principals Matters Podcast, discussing various issues affecting administrators today. She is the author of various books including:

Her most recent book, ‘The Principal’s Guide to Conflict’ will be released this February. She brings a wealth of knowledge (and inspiration) regarding educational leadership and most recently led many aspiring Atlantic administrators during the Developing Successful Schools Institute in New Brunswick.
We know that Dr. Schwanke will lead us in some amazing learning, and inspire us to reinvigorate our leadership and grow our skillset.
Dr. Osmond-Johnson serves as president of the Canadian Association for the Study of Educational Administration. She currently holds a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council IDG award, which focuses on decolonizing the study of educational leadership.
She has co-authored a variety of works, including the national report The Status of Educators Professional Learning in Canada; and Empowered Educators in Canada, part of the Empowered Educators book series. Her research contributions have been nationally recognized by EdCan and she is a past recipient of the Pat Clifford Award.
Dr. Osmond-Johnson holds a PhD in educational leadership from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. She completed master of education, bachelor of education and bachelor of science degrees at Memorial University.
