Busing Discipline and safe return to school

It is our mandate to ensure the safety of all students aboard our buses.  It is exceptionally difficult to safely drive a bus with 66 students on board in our weather conditions.

Any student behavior that causes the bus driver to take their attention from driving is significant to the safety of all students on the bus.

Upon the decision of the bus driver, a student is referred for their behaviour.  Administration will contact the student and inform them of their inappropriate choices.  This is the first warning.  If the student is referred again the following protocol is in place:

Second referral results in a one-day bus suspension.

Third referral results in a three-day bus suspension.

Fourth referral results in a five-day bus suspension.

Fifth referral student's busing privileges may be revoked.

Please note that more severe behaviors/choices on the bus may result in more immediate and lengthy bus suspensions.

Busing is a privilege not a right.  If a student demonstrates that they endanger the safety of others on the bus they must be removed from bus.
