Reminders&Upcoming Events

school emails

Just a reminder that all communication from school is completed through email that is sent via school messenger. If you have not been receiving notifications from school, please check your SPAM/JUNK folder to ensure you are up to date with what is happening in our school. You may also wish to sign up for our school messenger app as another way to guarantee you are always informed as to what is taking place in school. You can also report student absences within this app.

Signing In/Out of School

If you need to sign out your child or drop of something, please ring our door buzzer and identify yourself and your child. Someone from our office will grant you entry into our building where you need to check in at the main office, or we will send your child down to you to pick up the items you have for them. We thank you in advance for your cooperation in this regard.

School Traffic Procedure

As many of you have experienced when dropping of students in the morning there can be quite a traffic situation at the rear entrance to our building. Our staff park around the periphery of the parking lot - leaving the middle section available for visitors to park.  We encourage you to be very careful when entering, lining-up for drop-off and exiting our parking lot. Thanks for your help keeping our school and grounds as safe as we can for our students.

Don't forget, the speed limit on the roads surrounding our schools is 20km/h!  Safety first.  We have asked the RNC to increase their monitoring.  Let's keep our children safe.

Allergies and Medical Conditions

Life Threatening Allergens Not to be Brought to School:

(Epi-pens required)

Peanuts, Fish, Shellfish, ALL Tree nuts , Animal Fur, Eggs, Bananas, Kiwi, LATEX

This is the current list of Allergens for our school. This list changes each year. We thank you in advance for not sending these items to school with your child.

A reminder to parents that if your child has a severe allergy and uses an Epi-pen it is important for you to make an appointment with your public health nurse to complete an anaphylaxis form to be submitted to the school. These forms help to alert all staff members to which students have allergies and where to locate their epi-pen in case of allergic reaction. These forms need to be updated each year to ensure the Epi-pen is not expired, and that school staff know where to locate the Epi-pen.

Also, if your child has a medical condition that would require any medical intervention you must also visit the local public health nurse to complete an information sheet for the school. Any medical condition that requires school intervention should be documented in this way. If you have any questions or concerns please contact, Mr. Steve Loder, 282-3251.
