Makerspace Activities

What is a Makerspace?

A Makerspace is an area where students collaborate with one another in order to make, learn, explore and share. At East Point, our Makerspace is located in our Library Learning Commons. This area includes a variety of resources such as recycled objects, crafting materials, and various coding devices.

What are STEAM based activities?

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Each of the five subjects require students to create and solve problems. STEAM learning is encouraged in the Library Learning Commons so that children have the opportunity to learn naturally as they explore, play, and try new things.
