Edwina's Adventures

June 5, 2020

Hello to all my East Point friends. I wanted to send a final message to you as you finish up this school year. Congratulations to each of you, especially to our Kindergarten friends who have finished their very first year of school. I also wanted to wish the Grade 6 class all the best as they leave East Point and move on to Junior High. Your new adventure awaits you! I have enjoyed hearing from you and I would be so happy if you continued to send me messages throughout the summer. Keep an eye out for a message from me in September as I to welcome you all back to another school year. I hope you have a wonderful summer. Stay safe and healthy.

Hello to all my East Point friends. I have had another week of exploring your neighbourhood. Yesterday I flew up Middleton Street and then decided to drop by Breen’s. I flew by the outside vent and could smell the scent of homemade bread drifting through the air as it was baking. It smelled yummy and made me want a turkey and dressing sandwich. Afterwards, I went back to the school and flew up to the playground to take another look around. It was a sunny day but the wind was so high, it kept knocking me off course. I am excited that the weather will start to warm up over the next few days. I hope you all get the chance to get outside and enjoy the sunshine!

I also wanted to say I am excited that I received emails from some of you. They were so nice to read. If you would like to write to me to tell me what you have been up to, please do so. I would love to hear from you. If you would like to learn a little more about me, you could also try researching three interesting facts about eagles and email those to me as well. Remember to send your emails to Ms. Sweetapple (allisonsweetapple@nlesd.ca) and she will redirect them to me. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Stay safe and healthy!

Hello to all my new friends. I am having so much fun exploring your neighbourhood. Soar told me that the next place I should visit is the Virginia Park Community Centre since this is a special place for many of you. I flew by there yesterday afternoon and perched on the roof. I took a rest and had a good look around. It was a nice day and I was so excited to visit another wonderful place within your community.

I would love to hear from you and find out about all the wonderful things you have been up to. I don’t have my own email address since I’m kind of, well, an eagle but my dear friend Ms. Sweetapple told me to let you know that if you would like to write to me, you can send it to her email address. You can tell me all about the adventures you have been on, where you have been exploring, what new things you are learning, and the books you have been reading. I look forward to hearing from you soon and I will be back next week with another update on my latest adventures around your neighbourhood. Stay safe and healthy!

Hello Students of East Point Elementary. I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Edwina Priscilla Eagle but my friends call me Eddie, Ed or even E.P.E. Although we have never met, I have heard so many wonderful stories about you, your teachers, and your school. You may wonder how I heard all about you. Well, my cousin is a friend of yours. You would have met him on many special occasions that took place at your school such as assemblies, and occasionally at morning Kiss and Ride. His name is Soar! Recently, my family and Soar's family formed a Double Bubble and he had the opportunity to tell me all about his friends at East Point Elementary and how he missed each and every one of you. I decided I had to check this magical place out for myself. I flew to your school today and took a look around. It is such a pretty school and your playground is beautiful. I decided that I will continue to touch base with each of you to let you know about my weekly adventures as I explore your neighbourhood. I hope you are all staying safe and healthy and I look forward to checking in soon!
