The problem

What is the problem?

South Africa is the world's number 1 mining country, having over 2.5 trillion dollars in mineral reserves and being the world's largest producer of platinum. It's also a leading producer of gold, diamonds, metals and coal. All of the mining that the country does obviously produces a lot of waste, the issue is that the waste goes directly into the Limpopo river. The mass amount of waste that accumulates in the river makes it very unsafe for human and animal consumption. It's not only unsafe for consumption but agriculture as well.
