Policy / Procedure

Separation between the desks in this classroom is less than six feet. Masks are optional.

1. TARDY The student is tardy when not in their desk and ready to begin work at the ringing of the tardy bell.

2. POWER SCHOOL ACCOUNT The student must demonstrate their ability to access their "PowerSchool" account.

3. PASSES It is the student's responsibility to: 1) obtain the required signature and include the times of arrival / departure;

and return the completed "Paper Pass" to the teacher.

  • Restroom Pass. No "restroom pass" during the first and last ten minutes of class. One student at a time released for a maximum of five (5) minutes. The student is expected to use the "Passing Time" and will be provided an "Emergency Restroom Pass Card " for nine releases to the restroom each quarter.

  • Unlimited Pass [Office] -- When the student requests and the office approves -- No Delay

  • Unlimited Pass [Counselor] -- When student requests and the counselor approves -- No Delay

  • Unlimited Pass [Teacher] -- Student must bring a "Paper Pass" from the teacher.


4. SUPPORT SERVICES [ By Appointment ] The student is offered assistance in addition to the scheduled class period.

By appointment, most Monday and Thursday afternoons from 3:20 to 3:50.


5. CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS

  • Be in your desk and ready to work at the ringing of the tardy bell.

  • Do nothing that would disrupt classroom instruction or activity.

  • Do not take contraband [ phone, smartwatch, bluetooth earbuds ] out of your bookbag.

  • Do not bring contraband [ food, snack, non-water drinks, gum or candy ] into the classroom.

  • No Sleeping or Head Down.

6. ELECTRONIC DEVICES / GAMES Bluetooth earbud/s, Mobile phone, Smart watch, Playback device, and Games ( fidget, yoyo, rubric cube, etc. ) are to be stored in your locker. If you take them out in the classroom, the device will be taken and delivered to the office after the end of the school day at 3:20.

7. SOCIAL MEDIA / GROUP CHAT Social Media is allowed when the teacher approves the use in their classroom as an assignment. Group Chat is not allowed in the Information Technology class.

8. DRESS CODE Students are expected to comply with the "Dress Code" during the school day and at all school activities. Masks are reccomended when the "social distance" of six feet is not possible. When a student is out of compliance with the school’s dress code, the parent/guardian and Mr. George will be notified. (Please view the "Discipline Process")

9. TRAFFIC CODE All stairs are desginated as "ONE WAY"! ! ! All hallways, classrooms, and stairs are designated as "WALK ONLY"! ! !
