Writing a formal letter can feel hard, but there are simple rules to follow.

Introduction (To Whom it May Concern),
Briefest of bio's and the reason you are writing. If applying for a job- how you heard about it. If asking about a scholarship, share your grade level and areas of scholastic interest.
Your qualifications and the skills you bring to the job. For a scholarship add your career goals and notes on what drives you to reach your goals. Here is where you would add things specific to the scholarship, or for a job your interest and experience with the company. This section can be 1 or more paragraphs. Keep in mind, 1 page is best for these formal letters.
Your desire to (interview for the position, receive the scholarship). Express thanks for taking the time to consider your application.
