Nevada Union Visual Arts Department

The Visual Art Department at Nevada Union High School offers students a rich variety of opportunities to explore and grow in the visual arts. With a comprehensive curriculum that includes Art, Ceramics, and Photography, as well as advanced placement options through AP Studio Art courses. The department supports artists at all levels, from beginners to those preparing portfolios for college and beyond.

Students are immersed in a dynamic creative environment that extends beyond the classroom. A dedicated on-campus student gallery provides regular opportunities for young artists to showcase their work in curated exhibitions. Additionally, students participate in field trips to museums and have the chance to exhibit their artwork in off-campus galleries and local art events, gaining valuable real-world exposure.

The department also hosts regular guest instructors—working artists and professionals who bring diverse perspectives and expertise in various areas of visual arts. These special sessions enrich the curriculum, exposing students to specialized techniques, industry insights, and contemporary practices.
