During my internship at the Linden Cogeneration Plant, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in a hands-on learning environment that deepened my understanding of the cogeneration process and industrial energy flow. Working closely with the operations, engineering, and maintenance teams, I actively contributed to plant functionality and cross-departmental projects. This collaborative approach allowed me to observe and engage with various facets of plant operations, enhancing my ability to communicate effectively across different technical teams.
This internship at Linden Cogeneration Plant not only reinforced my commitment to safety and efficiency but also solidified my interest in energy systems and large-scale industrial processes. The knowledge and practical skills I gained during this period continue to drive my passion for contributing to innovative and safe engineering practices.
A significant aspect of my experience involved adhering to and promoting safety protocols, an essential element in the industrial sector. I became SHAIC training certified, which equipped me with a stronger safety mindset and an understanding of risk management in energy production environments. Additionally, I began gaining experience toward acquiring my Black Seal Boiler License, an important step in professional growth within this field.
